Turn Overwhelm Into Passion and Purpose

Bridge Work and Life to Find Success without Sacrifice.

HBC provides a framework to help you recover from burnout, choose your response to stress, and channel your energy to what matters.

My mom was diagnosed - the first time - with breast cancer when she was 50. She was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer at 58. She died when she was 60. This weighed heavily on me as I thought about what she might have done differently had she known at 50 that she only had eight "good" years left. I knew that I didn't want to spend what time I had left on this planet being miserable. So, I did the hard work to figure out why I was unhappy, and what I needed to do about it.

I figured out that my burnout was a result of living a life, at work and home, that wasn't in alignment with my core values. Not leading or living authentically resulted in misery.

By June of 2024, I had gotten divorced, sold my house, downsized to an apartment, helped my kids move out on their own, been formally diagnosed with ADHD and resigned from my job as a Chief Operating Officer - the job I worked for my whole career.

If you want to start your burnout recovery journey, come work with me. Together, we will determine the driving factors causing your burnout, and I'll provide you with a framework to take you from burnout to brilliance. You get to choose where you put your energy. Let me teach you how to apply it where it really matters.

Overwhelm is not the norm. I see you. I've been you. Now, get back to someone you recognize when you look in the mirror.

Steph

My Burnout Story

"Milestone" birthdays never bothered me - until 2023, when I was approaching my 50th birthday. The closer I got to my birthday, the more I realized how truly unhappy I was. I could barely get out of bed on weekends, binging TV shows, sleeping, and hiding from the world, including myself. I found myself itching to get home to have that glass of bourbon after work every night.  "This cannot be all there is in life," was the thought that was on repeat in my brain.
I. Was. Miserable.

My services might be for you if any of these signs of burnout sound familiar:

Exhaustion

"I can't get out of bed."

You feel like you can't get out of bed when you aren't at work. You have no energy for things you want to do. The "Sunday Scaries" are your norm.

Easy to Anger

"I don't know who I am anymore."

You notice yourself reacting negatively to things that didn't use to bother you. Coworkers, friends and family are on the receiving end, and noticing it.

Depression

"This can't be all there is."

You feel hopeless. You wonder what the point is to life, if this is all there is. You are sad, tearful, and "down" much of the time.

Numbing

"I can't wait to have a drink when I get home.

You find yourself using alcohol, smoking, scrolling on social media, or using other ways to "numb out" as a coping strategy.

A balanced life is possible. Lead authentically and thrive.

Clarity

"I finally understand what’s been holding me back."

You gain insight into how your thoughts, emotions, and energy patterns shape your choices. This clarity helps you shift out of autopilot and into intentional action.

Confidence

"I actually feel capable and in control."

By working with a Core Energy Coach, you start noticing your inner strengths. Even a small shift in mindset can unlock a dramatic boost in self-belief and personal power.

Relationships

"I'm not just reacting—I'm connecting

Improved awareness leads to better communication. Whether at work or home, you begin to build more meaningful, less stressful relationships.

Fulfillment

"I’m energized and aligned with what matters."

Clients report dramatic improvement in 14 areas of life—from productivity and leadership to wellness and personal freedom—often within just 1–3 months.

"Stephanie was fabulous. Engaging and humorous. Thank you for helping with a critically important part of work and life."

Strong Leaders
Powerful Teams
Healthy Organizations

Leaders in healthcare organizations are often promoted to their positions due to their performance as excellent clinicians. Unfortunately, once promoted, they often do not receive training or support to develop the skills required to lead and manage people. Even if they are able to achieve the desired outcomes, it often comes at a cost – to their own well-being, and that of the employees they lead – and can result in burnout and increased turnover.   Burnout has been shown to impact organizational culture, quality outcomes, and ultimately, the bottom line. HBC supports middle managers and above with group and individual coaching by teaching key skills that position them to retain top talent and pave the way to success.

As a former COO with more than 20 years of experience leading healthcare organizations, I know what it’s like to shoulder the weight of high-pressure environments, trying to foster collaboration and deliver results, often at the expense of personal well-being. I’ve also seen firsthand how team dysfunction can derail even the best strategies and intentions.

My journey through burnout became a turning point—a wake-up call that taught me the critical importance of finding a leadership style that feels authentic. Many times, my work was not in line with my core values around facilitating a culture that empowers teams and leaders to deliver results at every level.

Today, as an executive coach with a certification in psychological safety, I help leaders and teams navigate these challenges, creating spaces where trust thrives, performance soars, and results follow naturally.

My mission is simple: to guide others toward sustainable success without sacrificing their health or humanity.
I’ve been where you are, and I’m here to help you find a better way forward.
